Real weddings: Lauren ja Nenadin urbaanin romanttiset juhlat
Upeat juhlat Toronton suurkaupungissa.
Kanadalainen Lauren ja kanadan-serbialainen Nenad menivät naimisiin upeassa, urbaanissa miljöössä kotikaupungissaan Torontossa. Tila on taiteelle ja kulttuurille pyhitetty Artscape Wychwood Barns, jonka tiiliseinät, vanhat puuovet ja korkeat huoneet antoivat häille upean, industrial-henkisen tunnelman.

Looking back, what was the most memorable part of the day or the best thing about your wedding?
The most memorable part of the day was the ceremony and looking out to see all our loved ones. We wrote our own vows and got to share those with each other, I loved that!
My best friend, Branigan, married us so that was pretty special too. Also, dancing the night away with everyone was such a joy - everything was perfect about the day!
What’s your advice on anyone planning their wedding?
When planning your wedding, only include the things that really are important to you and not what’s “expected” on a wedding day. It helped us make our day very personal and intentional. For example, We didn’t feel we needed a traditional wedding cake, instead we had small locally made Serbian desserts. We could then put a personal touch on the aspects of the wedding that we did include. Like Having my dear friend (that’s you!) use her calligraphy skills to make our invites and place cards - they were stunning! Many guests said they kept their placecards because they were so beautiful.
What would you have done differently, if anything?
Looking back we would’ve gotten a videographer. We decided against it because our photographer was so fantastic but I do wish we captured the day on video. We have the memories and tons of footage from friends, but that’s the only thing I’d do differently!
